Jurik Moving Average (JMA) is an adaptive, proprietary moving average designed to offer very low lag with exceptional smoothness, making it more responsive and less noisy than classic MAs like SMA and EMA
JMA was developed by Mark Jurik / Jurik Research as an advanced smoothing filter for time‑series data, including price.
It uses a nonlinear, adaptive algorithm that adjusts to volatility, aiming to avoid overshoot and oscillations while keeping the line close to price.
